There is nothing more glamourous than Dinner at The Metropolitan Opera on Opening Night. Last week with opening night of Manon the gala guests were served dinner in two sittings. They arrived at 6 pm and enjoyed cocktails and then went down for dinner on the Grand Tier. After the first act they returned to there seats for a luscious chocolate cake.
There were lots of celebrities and Patrons of the Arts including January Jones, Amber Heard, Michael Stipe, Emmy Rossum, Emma Roberts, Salman Rushdie, Anne Ziff, and many more.

Kim Hicks Atelier Cocktail Party.
Last night Kim Hicks had a private Event in her Atelier to show off her new gowns. The 2 beauties mingled with the guests and looked stunning in all her creations. I snapped a few photos but to see the real thing just take a look at her line the nest time you are in Bergdorfs.

Nicky Egan plays at Rockwood Music Hall
Last night Nicky Egan played at Rockford Music Hall. It is the first time I have heard her sing. Inspired by Janice Joplin she has a soulful voice that filled the space.
Her band was great and the beat master Jake Cohen was playing on drums.

La Grenouille NYC
This morning on my way to work I stopped off to check out the new flowers at la Grenouille and they were beyond beautiful. Charles was hard at work arranging everything and had his favorite bloom. Here it is. It looks like a cross between a rose and a tulip but it is in fact a renonule.

The Frick Young Fellows Belle Epoque Ball
Last night was the Frick Belle Epoque Ball. It has to be my favorite old home in NY. At least it is one that I can get to go inside and see how magnificent it is.
Last night was beautiful as always. The weather is so warm that everyone could leave their coats at home. I saw Olivier Cheng who had a busy night running up town before me from Cartier where we had both seen each other earlier.

Bri Arden at Rockwood Musical Hall
Bri is so amazing. Last night after work I went to hear her sing at Rockwood. I first saw her a few weeks ago when my drummer friend Jake Cohen told me he was playing with her.
She has a great band behind her. This week it was a little different. Her back up vocalists were both guys and both playing instruments, one of whom was Jake.
After singing a few songs she picked up a guitar to accompany her singing and then wiggled her way onto the piano stool to show that she is not only a great singer with a big voice but also she has a lot of musical talent to go with it.

Ginger and Tim
Wow what a fun time I had with Ginger and Tim on Saturday. It was St Patricks Day and we had overlooked this when we set up an engagement shoot at Grand Central. The station was so crowed. Finally we decided to head outside and we were met with swarms of people. We had planned a photo on the steps of the Public Library but this now seemed very unlikely.
We headed west through the throngs of green clad revelers.
Suddenly we arrived at 5th Ave. To the north were thousands of people but to the south there was not a soul!.
It was one of those magic NY City moments!

La Grenouille NYC
Just in case you were wondering what the flowers looked like this week at La Grenouille here is a snap I took on Tuesday. Have you had lunch upstairs there yet? So yummy and less formal than downstairs. Men do not have to wear jackets and there is a special prix fixe.

NY in Las Vegas
Everyone who knows me knows that I love taking photos with my iPhone. I do not go a day without adding to my collection of snaps. It amuses me to look back on this visual diary. 2 weeks ago I was in Las Vegas for only one day. I found time to walk down the strip. Here are the 2 shots that sum up my stroll.
Only in Vegas!
