The New York Pops 2012-2013 Season presented by Carnegie Hall

What a great fun night I had at the New York Pops season opening concert at Carnegie Hall.
It was the launch of the 30th Season at Carnegie Hall named Some Enchanted Evening: The Music of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke lead the orchestra with the amazingly talented trio of AARON LAZAR, KELLI O’HARA and PAULO SZOT as the guest artists.
After the show some of the season ticket holders met up for drinks and cocktails and were joined by Aaron and Steven.

Carnegie Hall Opening Night October 3rd 2012

Last night was Opening Night At Carnegie Hall and to start the evening there was the unveiling of the new Breguet Clock on the foyer.
It is the first change that has been made to the lobby in many years.
Sandy Weill was there with Clive Gillinson and Mike Nelson to do the honors.
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra played for opening night and Mr Muti was there to conduct. Afterwards the guests went to the Waldorf where David Stark had transformed the ballroom into an ocean of red.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra Fall Gala 2012

Saturday I flew to Chicago to photograph the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Fall Ball.
I love Chicago. Such a dynamic city. As soon as I arrived I headed out to the streets to wander around the loop and Millennium Park. It was such perfect weather which meant that the guests would arrive with out coats and I could photograph them as they got out of their cars and cabs.
After everyone was seated for the concert I headed over to the hotel where they were having the dinner.

New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Opening Night Celebration 2012

Friday night was the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Opening Night Celebration. The night started with cocktails in the lobby, followed by a concert and then Dinner and Dessert upstairs. The program was fantastic.
The highlight for me was Jean-Yves Thibaudet and the Orchestra playing Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin.
Jacques Lacombe the conductor later introduced Jean-Yves to the dinner guests and he played again for them in the event space.
