Now I am on my way to the North Pole to deliver them all to Santa himself. He has asked me to stay a few days so I will see you all after Christmas.
Very Best wishes.....and make lots of them cause they will all come true

Apollo Circle Gala
Last week was the glamorous Apollo Circle Benefit Gala at the Met. Carolina Herrera sponsored the event and looked beautiful in Purple. Bronson Van Wyck looked really wicked in his long dashing cape. It is always amazing to visit the museum after hours. I love being able to walk through the galleries with the evening glow. It makes me feel like I am in a children's book.

Hannah and Lee get hitched
Last Saturday afternoon the Bowery Hotel was jumping on every floor. Hannah was getting ready in 702 which if you don't know has an amazing terrace with a big hot tub. Upstairs on the 14th floor Lee and the guys were drinking Champagne and waiting for the big moment when Hannah would be ready to see Lee for the first time. On the second floor the amazingly talented Sofia Crokos from Sofia Crokos Events was overseeing the transformation of the spaces from bar to wedding ceremony in one room and Italian Villa inspired dinning room in the other. The rooms were bathed in candle light and fall leaves played an important role in creating the warm and cosy atmosphere.

Roger Waters performs
The lucky crowd at the Waldorf ballroom who had gathered for the Rita Hayworth Gala to benefit Alzheimer's research was treated to a phenomenal performance by Roger Waters. After he sang he donated his guitar for the silent auction.
I had to smile when I found myself beside him and Brooke Shields after he came off stage. He waged his finger at her and asked how she had grown so tall. Her reply was 6 inch heels! At that they turned and asked me to snap a photo. First Roger bent his knees to show how tall Brooke was and then stood on tip toes. They were both all giggles.

LDF Gala
Last week I got to photograph the LDF awards at the Hilton. After a private cocktail reception in the Penthouse I went down stairs to a room that was a buzz. Ursula M. Burns , Jamie Dimon and Vernon Jordan were the Honorees of the night and were presented their awards by Kenneth Chenault, Richard Parsons and Frank Thomas.
The beautiful Deborah Roberts was the Master of Ceremony and kept the audience up to date with the baseball scores. To see more photos you can click here Julie Skarratt Photography and click on View Your Event

BCRF Lunch at the Waldorf
Yesterday was the annual BCRF Symposium and Lunch at the Waldorf. It was amazing to get there early and to hear all the new things happening with Breast Cancer Research and I was so happy to see and hear so many doctors and researchers.
This year Liz Hurley was given an award and was told that a future award was going to be given in her name. It brought her to tears that she managed to hold but where was the waterproof mascara when she needed it?
This year the event raised over $1,900,000. Well done Mrs Lauder. We all thank you for your hard work.

The Studio Museum Fall Gala 2009
Last night was so much fun. The Studio Museum of Harlem had its annual Gala at Ciprianni Wall Street. As always the 3 beautiful Co-Chairs were Kathryn C. Chenault, Joyce K. Haupt and Carol Sutton Lewis. Thelma Golden looked radiant as she presented the award. Ray McGuire had us all laughing with jokes as he took to the mic. Melissa Feldman from MF Productions made sure the event was flawless and found me a place to sit for dinner. It was yummy.

Children's Cancer and Blood Foundation
When Wendy Kleinman from WK Planning called me in August to see if I could photograph the Gala she was organizing for Children's Cancer and Blood Foundation little did I know I would be spending the day with Ted Turner and Toni Braxton as they toured Presbyterian Hospital to meet some of the children who are treated there each day. They were both being honored that night for their work with children.
Toni lights up the room when she walks in and with me clicking my camera and Ted and Toni smiling at everyone, heads turned as we walked down the halls of the hospital. The doctors had so much information to give us all.
Later that night it was onto the Plaza Ballroom where Ted and the beautiful Cynthia MacDonald were the first to arrive.
After dinner Toni sang and walked off the stage into the crowd. To the delight of some of the gentlemen she sat on their laps and sang and flirted with all of the guests. The photos say it all! It was a fun event and flawless thanks to Wendy and her team.

The Whitney Art Party
Last night I managed to be in 2 places at the same time so how come I can not do 2 days work in one getting everything on my blog??? First stop was the Frick where they were having the Annual Fall Ball. I stayed long enough to cover cocktails then I ran up Madison Ave to the Whitney where the photographers were 3 deep on the Red Carpet.
Thanks heavens I get to be inside and not with the masses.
The big dinner upstairs was being shot by another magazine so I was there to cover the downstairs event and to catch people as they left from upstairs. It was easy to tell the 2 crowds apart. Lindsay Lohan arrived really late and had the cameras going crazy. Shakira was the best with smiles and waves for each and every one of us. I with all stars were like that! She gets my vote!
