American Ballet Theater Fall Gala 2018
It was a real thrill to photograph the American Ballet Theater Gala at Lincoln Center on October the 17th. The space looked fantastic thanks to Event designer Bill Tansey I loved the large red roses. The night paid homage to an all female cast of choreographers and the dances were spectacular.
As always it was fun to see so many familiar faces in the crowd.
Katie Holmes, Olivia Palermo, Violetta Komyshan, Ansel Elgort, Indre Rockefeller, Jennifer Tilly, Deborah Roberts, Diane Sawyer and many more. To see all the photos please see this Photo Link

The Armory Gala 2018
I love the Armory on East 67th street and Park Ave. This enormous structure has become the location for some exciting art events, shows and now that The Waldorf has closed it has become the new party space for some of NY's most fabulous Galas and events. To help keep the building running and to fund its art projects last week was the Armory's own Gala. I was so excited to be there and to see how they transformed the space. I was so happy to see the honoree Marina French and her beautiful daughter Annabelle and Michael Kors. To see all my photos please click on this PHOTO LINK

Carnegie Hall Opening Night Gala Fall 2018
It is always a thrill to find my self at Carnegie Hall. I arrived before the guests and got to sign in at the Stage door where they always remember me. There is something so romantic about being in this empty space. Soon the doors opened and the beautifully dressed Gala guests climbed the stairs to a private cocktail reception. I love to get them right at the top of the stairs or as they are walking towards the boxes before the concert begins. Afterwards there was dinner at Cipriani 42nd Street. At the very end of the night all the guests went home and there was a very special private dinner for the Events crew. We sat together eating delicious food and chatted about the night. Then we all sang happy birthday to Anna who had helped me all night as my special point person. It was nearly 1.30 am when we all said good night.
Not much sleep for me. I needed to be up really early so they could have the photos for press by noon.

The Met Opera Gala Fall 2018
Monday night was the always stunning Met Opera opening night and this year it was underwritten by Oscar and Agnes Tang. I have known Oscar since I shot his daughter Dana's wedding years ago in Aspen. The couple was radiant and Agnes looked gorgeous in a pink gown.
The nights performance was Samason and Dalila. I loved spotting Katie Lowes in the crowd. She stoped me to tell me how excited she was to be there. Later she was with Elina Garaca and was so full of praise for the talented Opera Star who had lead the cast in the performance in her role as Delila. After the opera guests and the Artists had dinner together in the David Koch Theater across form the Met. David Stark and his team created a beautiful space for the guests to enjoy their celebrations.

The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum Spring Benefit
Last night was The Noguchi Museum Spring Benefit celebrating the 2018 Isamu Noguchi Award that was presented to Naoto Fukasawa and Edwina Von Gal at the NOGUCHI MUSEUM
This gem of a museum located in Long Island City is a quiet hideaway located close the East River. Behind a tall brick wall lies a secret garden filled with carefully placed rocks and sculptures shaded by a few tall leafy trees. Inside the galleries are sculptures and lights made of paper in different shapes and sizes. It is a tranquil spot that begs to visitor to slow down and feel the power of nature as defined by the creations of Noguchi who's work punctuates the spaces with breath and form.
I was thrilled to be asked to capture the evenings festivities. The museum has long been a favorite spot of mine. Ambassador Koro Bessho was there to present Naoto and Edwina with their awards. Brett Littman who has been at the museum for less than a month shared his hopes and dreams for the future of the Museum. The guests mixed and mingled and braved going outside as the rain had stopped only and hour before they arrived. Dinner was held up stairs in 2 galleries and then everyone met together in the room between where the Akari Light Hose was open for guests to enter. This amazing room of light was a great place to take photos and I was so excited to get the chance to share the guests excitement and document them inside this amazing space that is normally roped off.
many thanks to everyone at the museum and also to the fabulous team of Cait and Jules who were the event designers for the evening.
