Last week was the Black Alumni of Pratt Award Dinner at The Park Hyatt Hotel in NYC. The event that raises funds to help advance the scholastic and career opportunities for students and graduates of African and Latino descent honored the amazingly talented and always charming artist, Fred Wilson and the very out spoken Casting Director and Producer James Scully. The evening also saluted Thomas F. Schutte the President of Pratt for his 25 years of service.
Since its inception in 1990, BAP has raised $5 million in endowed funds to further the BAP student scholarship effort, provided pre-college awards for high school students looking to pursue an arts education, and helped fund other BAP initiatives. Every year an outstanding senior is awarded a full scholarship for their final year of study.
