Wednesday April 25th was the Memorial Sloan Kettering Gala a the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While all the photographers were inside I decided to stand on the stairs and photograph everyone outside as they entered. It was perfect. The weather was warm enough that most people did not have on coats over their beautiful dresses. Tory Birch looked so amazing. She was the first to arrive soon to be followed by her fellow Co-Chairs Muffie Potter Aston who arrived next with her husband looking fabulous all in gold. followed by Jamie Tisch in red and Caryn Zucker in a black dress with a sensational split that showed off her shoes and she ran up the stairs holding on to the fabric to avoid showing to much leg! Food Allergy Initiative Spring Luncheon 2012

The Twelfth Annual Spring Luncheon, presented by the Food Allergy Initiative, took place on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Cipriani 42nd Street. Some 600 supporters—a capacity crowd--attended the event, which has raised approximately $758,000 to date. The room looked fabulous as did the crowd. The event was managed by the amazing Harriette Rose Katz joined by her daughter Melissa Rosenbloom, her niece Claudia Warner and the rest of the team from Gourmet Advisory. DeJuan Stroud was responsible for the florals and decor. The big arrangements of blossom were beautiful. Abbey Braverman, Roxanne Palin, and Stephanie Winston Wolkoff were this year’s Co-Chairs. Melissa Rosenbloom was the Event Advisory Chair. Jessica Mukasey Barkoff, Elizabeth Hecker, Jamie Lichtenberg, and Lana Platin were the Goodie Bag Co-Chairs. Liana Silverstein Backal, Nicole Lenner, Melissa Meyers, and Jennifer Fisherman Ruff were the Raffle Co-Chairs. This year’s guest speaker was Dr. Hugh Sampson. Carnegie Hall Gala in honor of Bill Cunningham

Last night was the Carnegie Hall Gala in honor of Bill Cunningham at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. What a night! It was fabulous. Called Dressed for Bill the women did just that. Every one in the room wanted to congratulate him and have their photo taken with him but he was more interested in snapping their photo. It was a challenge getting him to look at the camera. Anyone who knows him knows that to pose for him is to pretend to ignore him while putting ones self at the perfect angle and smiling just so. Palm Beach Wedding

Rob and Lesley chose to get married at Mar a Lago. It was a perfect spot for this couple. Friends flew in from all over the world and enjoyed a fantastic 3 days of festivities.

People often ask me what kind of photos I take and I reply " Have Camera will travel"
How do you start to describe a life that has me photographing Rock Stars one day, Royal Family the next and then parties, weddings, jewels and occasionally and I mean occasionally fashion.
When Kim asked me to come in and photograph her new clothes in her atelier I was thrilled. She had hired the fabulous Dustin Lujan who works at Bergdorf Goodman to do the makeup and the equally talented Andre Rodman from Rita Hazan Salon to do the hair. The model Kim choose was Ola. What a trooper she was and gorgeous infront of the camera.
The beautiful earings came from Lissa. We had over 20 outfits and got through them all in less that 6 hours.
Way back when I was a model we always used to line up at the end of the shoot to beg the photographer for the polaroids that were taken for each shot to check the light and the makeup. Now I use my phone and instagram to send everyone home with an instant souvenir and a fun memory of a great day spent with talented and creative, hard working team.

Last night was the ninth New Yorkers for Children Spring Gala at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Always a festive occasion this year the dresses were spectacular and the room looked amazing.

Hope Funds for Cancer Research Board Meeting

Last night Hope Funds for Cancer Research held a board meeting in NY. This amazing non profit organisation awards research grants to young researchers who have the highest probability of making an impact in the hardest-to-treat cancers.

Ballet Hispanico Gala at the Plaza Hotel

Last night was the Ballet Hispanica Gala the The Plaza Hotel. It was a night about celebration and about dance. Raising over 2 million dollars the event was a great success. Ronnie Davis from Great Performances got a well deserved shout out from Jody Gottfried Arnhold the honoree.
JP Morgan Chase was the lead corporate sponsor and the event was headed by Judith K Dimon as Honary Chair.
She gave a very funny speech telling how she met Jody at the 92nd st Y 25 years ago and how Jody was a force of nature.
Jodies parents made a large donation in her name to Ballet Hispanico and then her husband and children pledged a further $500 thousand dollars towards scholarships.
It was a great night and after many of the students and members of the company had performed it was time for the guests to hit the dance floor. They were still going strong until midnight when the Spanish Harlem Orchestra finally stopped playing

The Save Venice Ball 2012

Last night was the Save Venice Ball at 583 Park Ave. The evening was sponsored by Mark Badgley, James Mischka and Fawaz Gruosi. The co chairs included Olivia Chantecaille, Adelina Wong Ettelson, Amanda Hearst, Mary Kathryn Navab, Alexandra Lind Rose, Beatrice Rossi-Landi, Luigi Tadini and Mathew White.

Spring Blossom

I love the end of winter and the beginning of spring, with hopes and dreams of warm weather to come.
Blossoms bust from sleeping branches and colors unfold against a crisp blue sky.
Rain carries petals to the sidewalk as green leaves begin to appear.
I never know what to wear. Will it be warm or chilly as I leave my building? Looking outside the window does not answer that question.
